GLC Projects is excited to announce that we have officially commenced work with Northumbrian Water Group.
This month, our team began our first project—a critical dismantling operation to strip out a large building containing outdated processing machinery. Thanks to Northumbrian Water’s continued investment, this building will be transformed to house new, state-of-the-art processing equipment, marking a significant step forward in their infrastructure upgrade programme.
Securing our place on the Northumbrian Water Wider Eco Systems framework back in May was a major achievement, and this project represents the beginning of what will be a long-term collaboration across the North East. The project itself is focused on ensuring the safe and efficient removal of life-expired equipment, preparing the site for the installation of new cutting-edge water processing plant. This work aligns with the larger £3.6bn AMP 8 capital investment programme, of which GLC Projects is proud to be a part.
Graeme Cochrane, Managing Director of GLC Projects, shared his thoughts on the project:
“Starting work on this dismantling project is a great moment for us. The task of clearing out redundant processing equipment to make way for a new, more efficient plant is just the first step in what will be an exciting journey with Northumbrian Water. Our directly employed team is fully prepared and will deliver this project with the highest level of safety and precision, setting the tone for a long and successful partnership.”
As GLC Projects moves forward with this project and future projects under the framework, we are committed to delivering value through our expertise in dismantling and demolition. This project is just the beginning of what promises to be an exciting collaboration, contributing to the future of water and wastewater infrastructure across the North East.
