Following our recent win as Best Small Business at the Hartlepool Business Awards, members of the GLC Projects team were invited to Westminster by Jonathan Brash MP to celebrate our success and showcase the strength of Hartlepool’s business community.

The visit included a guided tour of Parliament with Jonathan Brash MP, where we had the opportunity to discuss our recent growth, investment, and contribution to the regional economy. Jonathan also spent time with us before and after the tour, reflecting on our success and the strength of Hartlepool’s business community.

Our Managing Director, Graeme Cochrane, was also invited by Jonathan as his guest to Downing Street for a special reception with Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves, ahead of the Autumn Budget announcement. The event brought together business leaders from across the region to share insights, celebrate success, and highlight the role that ambitious small businesses play in driving the economy forward.

The visit marks another milestone for GLC Projects, following a period of strong growth and investment in people, plant, and local employment. Being recognised among national leaders reinforces our commitment to representing the North East’s thriving construction and engineering sector on a broader stage.
